Bissinger's Quinoa Agave Crunch 75% cocoa bar: Review

Today's goodie post is on a healthier treat, Bissinger's All Natural Quinoa Agave Crunch Chocolate.

When you have a craving for something sweet or something with chocolate, Dark chocolate is the way to go (especially over milk or white chocolate). The higher percentage of cocoa, the better. Dark chocolate has many benefits to the body including lowering blood pressure, improving cognitive function, controlling blood sugar, being full of antioxidants, etc.

This bar would be a good alternative for those who also like toffee bits in their chocolate bars. This contains agave covered puffed quinoa which gives you that sweetened crunch you are looking for. Quinoa is a true grain high in protein, gluten-free and a good source of calcium. Agave is a sweetener derived from the blue agave plant, however, it is still not as healthy of an alternative as people may believe, but it is still better than regular table sugars and there are only 8gms of sugar in this bar.

You can see the puffed quinoa inside the chocolate
I did indeed receive this at as a sample, but you can buy this on the Bissinger's website for around $5.00. I would also check out more health food related stores like Whole Foods or PCC for this item, and they would probably retail for around $5 too 7 dollars depending on the area (or cheaper).

Every Burger, Chocolate Cookie Snack: Review

My goodies review today will be on this ever so popular 'Every Burger" which is basically a cookie snack with chocolate that is shaped into burgers.

Each individual box comes with 2 separate sleeves of the chocolate cookie snack.

As you can see from inside, there are a few little burgers in each tray.

I have to say that the concept of this snack is quite cute and perfect for kids. They're small, cute, bite-sized cookies that resembles mini burgers so its no wonder kid gravitate towards them or even people getting them as a little gift.
The cookie and chocolate are actually not bad either. It isn't anything I haven't tried before since I feel it is fairly similar to any type of choco/cookie combo out there.

The only down side to some people may be the price. I bought this at my local Japanese store for around $2.69, but this item is from Japan and somewhat of a novelty item. I'd recommend this as a gift for anyone who is into Japanese snacks or small cutesy items in general.

Only place I found it online was HERE

Chip Chop_Chocolate stuff

So, this Meiji brand new chocolate cookie/candy/snack item was pretty interesting I must say. From the box cover, yo ucan see that it is a triangular shaped chocolate cookie with what seems to be a smoother creamy chocolate inner filling...

(I'd say the name 'Chip Chop' came from the chip like shake of the trianglular cookies.)

Now, I must say that I did like these and found them a little addicting. They reminded me of the flavor of Cocoa Puffs (American Cereal) and if I had milk, they probably would've been good as a cereal too. What I found most interesting about the taste of it was that it was a lot saltier than I expected. Not in a bad way (unless you're one of those people that do not like the sweet and salty stuff like salted caramel, etc). You could definitely taste the saltiness on the outside of the cookie part. I think that's what made it addicting for me since I'm a sucker for anything sweet that's salted, especially with chocolate.

Now the inside did indeed have this creamier chocolate layer, but it wasn't too sweet or too soft. It went well with the saltier chocolate cookie on the outside. And even would've been nice with milk in a cereal.

Overall, glad I got to sample this out! If you're in the greater Seattle Area, be sure to check out Uwajimaya for this product, I think they should still be stocked on the shelves!
(i should know..)

Ice cream cone no ice cream

Giant Caplico

The Caplico _ basically...an ice cream cone shaped candy/choco /snack, filled with aerated chocolate and aerated strawberry chocolate all inside a legit ice cream cone. This is the giant sized ones since the normal ones are pretty tiny. Got this in my past trip to Canada and was part of my Canada haulage of goodies. Now I wish I got more....sadface =/ haha jk
